Travel information

Combined package of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
After breakfast, excursion to Thebes West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Habu (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sailing to Kom Ombo where you have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
After breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package is included.

Day 6:

Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship, part of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain, features a total of 77 outside cabins spread across various decks. It also has a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The extensive resort is located directly on the hotel's own sand/pebble beach (swimming shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
The gently sloping beach allows for a relaxing beach holiday on the one hand. On the other hand, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can explore the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

Facilities

The large, newly opened hotel complex comprises 514 rooms. The comfortably and charmingly furnished complex features a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - Oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - International cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, and various bars and a café, The Bakery. The extensive outdoor area has 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which can be heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for all ages. Sun loungers, umbrellas, cushions, and towels are available free of charge at the pool and beach. Guests of the "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).

Superior double room

The modern Superior Double rooms (DSU, approx. 42-45 m²) are equipped with a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace. Rooms with pool view (DSP) or sea view (DMU) are available at an additional charge. Royal Suite Swim Up Pool View

The Royal Suites (SWP) are approximately 105 m² and feature a bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and terrace with direct access to the shared swim-up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms. Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk to small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen has a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types for children.
