Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 10 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3. Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Medinet Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sailing to Kom Ombo, where you have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4. Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.

6. Day:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, visit to the Kom Ombo Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 exterior cabins spread across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya can be discovered. The resort also has its own sandy beach section and is located only approx. 5 km from Marsa Alam airport.

Facilities

The beautiful adults-only facility (bookable from 16 years of age) has 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious lobby area offers guests a reception and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel features a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. A main restaurant and four à-la-carte restaurants ("Basilico" – Italian, "Rocca" – Asian, "Zaytoun" – Oriental, "Mashawi" – Seafood) provide for the physical well-being of the guests with delicious dishes. In the various bars, you will receive a wide selection of drinks.
In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five generously laid out pools (some can be heated in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, parasols, and towels are free of charge at the pool and beach.

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously furnished and have the same amenities as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² in size and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with bathtub, Jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area, and has a terrace with a private pool.

Double Room Superior

The comfortably furnished Double Superiors (DSU) are 40 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.

The Double Superior Swim Ups (DWP) have the same amenities as the Double Room Superior but are slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²) and have their own direct pool access from the terrace.
