Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1, 2, 3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1, 2, 3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1, 2, 3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning after breakfast, visit to Medinet Habu Temple (1, 2, 3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and journey to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1, 2, 3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1, 2, 3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1, 2, 3)
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visiting a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2, 3). Breakfast box is included.

Afterwards, continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 exterior cabins spread across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, as well as a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The JAZ Lamaya Hotel is located in a slightly elevated position above the beach bay of Madinat Coraya. The beautiful intact house reef with corals, which in some places reach up to the shore, offers ideal conditions for snorkeling and diving. Access to the sea is approximately 150 m from the hotel. A pier leading into the water is located directly at the hotel. Numerous shops, bars, and a beautiful promenade are located in the idyllic harbor town of Port Ghalib. The distance to Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam airport is about 8 km.

Facilities

This hotel complex was specifically designed for a relaxing family holiday. The very elegant and spacious resort was built in a Moorish-Oriental style and features a total of 389 rooms, distributed across a main building and several two- and three-story residential buildings. The hotel features a stylish lobby with reception and seating areas, a main restaurant with a non-smoking zone, a hairdresser, several shops, a bar, and an amphitheater. In the expansive outdoor area, there is a generously landscaped pool complex with four swimming pools (three of which can be heated in winter), a separate children's pool (heated in winter), a hangout area, and a beach/pool bar, as well as a new food court on the beach with snacks, drinks, and desserts.
