Travel information

Combination package including a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the inbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
3. Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and trip to Kom Ombo where you have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
4. Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visiting a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package is included.

Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 exterior cabins, spread across different decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, as well as a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The hotel JAZ Lamaya is situated in a slightly elevated position above the beach bay of Madinat Coraya. The beautiful intact house reef with corals, some of which reach up to the shore, offers ideal conditions for snorkeling and diving. Access to the sea is approximately 150 m from the hotel. A jetty leads directly into the water at the hotel. Numerous shops, bars, and a beautiful promenade are located in the idyllic harbor town of Port Ghalib. The distance to Port Ghalib as well as to Marsa Alam airport is about 8 km.

Facilities

This hotel complex was specifically designed for a relaxing family vacation. The very elegant and spacious resort was built in a Moorish-Oriental style and has a total of 389 rooms, distributed across a main building and several two- and three-story residential buildings. The hotel features a stylish lobby with a reception and seating areas, a main restaurant with a non-smoking area, a hairdresser, several shops, a bar, and an amphitheater. In the expansive outdoor area, there is a generously laid-out pool landscape with four swimming pools (three of which can be heated in winter) with a separate children's pool (heatable in winter), a hangout area, and a beach/pool bar, as well as a new food court at the beach with snacks, drinks, and desserts. Bath towels, sun loungers, and umbrellas are provided free of charge at the hotel's own beach and at the pools.
