Travel information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always follows the program for seven days. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and boarding day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and harbor are included.

Embarkation is on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Temple of Habu (1,2,3).
Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sailing to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then the opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package is included.

Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across different decks. There is also a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Madinat Coraya Bay is a dream destination that offers ideal conditions for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. The underwater world is home to countless rare fish species. The distance to Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam Airport is approximately 8 km.

Facilities

The spacious adults-only (bookable for ages 16+) hotel complex with a total of 364 elegant rooms has a warm and oriental ambiance. Facilities include a welcoming lobby with reception, so you feel comfortable from the first moment, as well as some shops, an amphitheater, and a Bedouin tent. For culinary variety, there is a main restaurant, an à la carte restaurant ("Fayrouz" - Mediterranean dishes) and various bars.
Furthermore, Madinat Coraya offers a dine-around: per stay, one visit to the Italian à la carte "Basilico Restaurant", the Asian "Rocca" restaurant, or the oriental "Zaytoun" is included for All Inclusive guests (reservation required).
The outdoor area features 3 pools (one of which is heated) and a pool/beach bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge at the hotel's private beach and by the pools.

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2) have the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, but are slightly larger (approx. 34 m²) and equipped with additional sofa beds.

Superior Double Room with guaranteed sea view from upper floors

The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen Original Rooms (XO2) are equipped like the Superior Double Rooms and have a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, lunch from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, all in buffet form. Various snacks are available during the day for small appetites.
Afternoon tea time with a selection of coffee, tea, and cake from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and ice cream from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as fresh juice, are available from 10 AM to midnight. "Pharao Club" guests receive one dinner in an à la carte restaurant (in "Fayruz") per stay (reservation required). Fruit basket upon arrival.
