Travel information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the most favorable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on board the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation is on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Temple of Habu (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sailing to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package included.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.
Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 7:
At 5 AM, excursion by balloon (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.

The resort of the renowned Steigenberger chain is quietly located directly on the gently sloping, hotel-owned sandy beach with a unique house reef in Madinat Coraya.
Madinat Coraya Bay is a dreamlike holiday destination that offers ideal conditions for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. The underwater world is home to countless rare species of fish. The distance to Port Ghalib and to Marsa Alam Airport is about 8 km.

Facilities

The spacious adults-only (bookable for ages 16 and up) hotel complex with a total of 364 elegant rooms has a warm and oriental ambiance. The facilities include an inviting lobby with a reception, ensuring you feel comfortable from the very first moment, as well as several shops, an amphitheater, and a Bedouin tent. For culinary variety, there is a main restaurant, an à la carte restaurant ("Fayrouz" - Mediterranean cuisine), and various bars.
Furthermore, Madinat Coraya offers a Dine Around: per stay, an à la carte visit to the Italian "Basilico Restaurant", the Asian "Rocca" Restaurant, or the Oriental "Zaytoun" is included for All Inclusive guests (reservations required).
Outside, there are 3 pools (one of which is heated) and a pool/beach bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge on the hotel's own beach and at the pools.

Superior Double Room Guaranteed Upper Floors Sea View

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen-Original rooms (XO2) are equipped like the Superior Double rooms and have a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, lunch from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, each in buffet style. Throughout the day, there are various snacks for in-between hunger.
Afternoon tea time with a selection of coffee, tea, and cake from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and ice cream from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as fresh juice from 10 AM to midnight. "Pharao Club" guests receive one dinner in an à la carte restaurant per stay (in "Fayruz"), reservation required. Fruit basket upon arrival.
