Location

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.
The excursion packages listed below can, of course, still be booked.

Depending on the embarkation day, the route may change.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast to-go is included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and relax with cool drinks from the three bars on board. Additionally, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship features a small fitness studio freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the breathtaking views of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped like the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and may not have a French balcony and seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

Meals

Full Board

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

All Inclusive

All Inclusive

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet style. Selected national alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks included from 11 AM to 11 PM at the lounge/sun deck bar.

Destination information

The entry visa for all travel services booked with Schauinsland-Reisen is not included in the travel price.
Guests have the option to organize the visa themselves or purchase it from the Schauinsland-Reisen tour guide upon arrival for €35 per person.
