Travel information

Combined package including a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days as per the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Medinet Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and cruise to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visiting a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then, visit the Kom Ombo Temple (1,2,3).
Afterwards, continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 outside cabins distributed across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, as well as a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The approx. 50 m² (incl. 4 m² balcony/terrace) Jacuzzi Suites (S2J) feature a couple's Jacuzzi, shower, WC, vanity mirror, air conditioning, safe, minibar (daily replenishment with water, juice, beer, soft drinks), Smart TV with German channels, coffee and tea-making facilities, as well as a swing chair on the terrace.

Pure Standard Suite Jacuzzi

The approx. 27 m² Pure Standard Suites (SAJ) are slightly smaller but offer similar amenities to the Jacuzzi Suites. Some suites feature a small balcony with visual privacy screen or terrace and are located on the land side.

The Swim Up Suites (2SU) offer similar amenities to the Jacuzzi Suites but with direct access to the terrace pool (heated in winter) and are more spacious with a size of approx. 50 m² (incl. 4 m² terrace).

Penthouse

The Penthouse Suites (P2), located on the upper floors, are equipped like the Jacuzzi Suites but are more spacious at approx. 107 m² (incl. 16 m² balcony), with their own living room, private pool (heated in winter), and a breathtaking view over the Red Sea.

Super Saver Room
