Travel information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always follows the program for seven days. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sailing to Kom Ombo where you have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca sailing on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.

Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package included.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

At 5 AM, optional balloon excursion (can be booked on site).

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.

Built in Moroccan style, the hotel of the renowned JAZ Hotel Group is located directly on the long, private sandy beach of the popular and idyllic Makadi Bay with a beautiful view of the coast. Hurghada Airport is approx. 30 km away. The hotel's own reef invites you to snorkel and dive in the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea. In the immediate vicinity is Souk Makadi with numerous shops, restaurants and bars that invite you to stroll. The water park is approx. 3 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The JAZ Makadina is set in beautiful gardens and has 270 rooms spread across several small buildings within the complex. The hotel also features an inviting reception, several shops, a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant (for a fee), and various bars. Culinary diversity is provided not only by the show cooking in the hotel restaurant but also by the "Dine Around" concept at Souk Makadi.
In the beautifully and spaciously designed garden area, you will find a pool landscape with two swimming pools (one heated in winter) and a separate children's pool, as well as a pool bar and a beach bar. Additionally, there are two outdoor jacuzzis (adults only) in the outdoor area.
Sun loungers, mattresses, umbrellas, and towels are provided free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

The friendly furnished Double Superior rooms (DSU) are approx. 38 sq m and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), air conditioning, coffee/tea maker (daily free refill), minibar (for a fee), safe (included), balcony or terrace. A large bottle of water is provided daily in the room (free of charge).

Family Suite Superior

Suite Superior

The Suite Superior rooms (SU2) are more spacious (approx. 47 sq m) with similar amenities to the Double Rooms Superior and feature an additional sitting/sleeping area separated from the rest of the room by a curtain.
Also bookable as a Double Room Deluxe (DD2). In this room, the sitting/sleeping area is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

Family Room Deluxe

The Family Rooms Deluxe (2DF) have the same amenities as the Family Rooms Superior. The children's sleeping area is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.
