Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and harbor are included.

Embarkation is on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo where you have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package is included.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.
Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 7:
At 5 AM, optional balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.

Built in Moroccan style, the hotel belonging to the renowned JAZ Hotel group is located directly on the long private sandy beach of the popular and idyllic Makadi Bay with a beautiful view of the coast. Hurghada Airport is approx. 30 km away. The hotel's own reef invites you to snorkel and dive in the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea. In close proximity, you will find Souk Makadi with numerous shops, restaurants, and bars that invite you to stroll. The water park is about 3 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The JAZ Makadina is nestled in beautiful gardens and has 270 rooms spread across several small buildings in the complex. The hotel is also equipped with a welcoming reception, several shops, a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant (for a fee), and various bars. Culinary diversity is provided not only by the show cooking in the hotel restaurant but also by the "Dine Around" concept of Souk Makadi.
In the beautifully and spaciously designed garden complex, there is a pool area with two swimming pools (one heated in winter) and a separate children's pool, as well as a pool bar and a beach bar. Additionally, there are two outdoor jacuzzis (adults only) in the outdoor area.
Sun loungers, mattresses, umbrellas, and towels are provided free of charge by the pool and on the beach.

Double Superior

The friendly furnished Double Superior rooms (DSU) are approx. 38 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), air conditioning, coffee/tea making facilities (daily free refill), minibar (for a fee), safe (included), balcony or terrace. A large bottle of water is provided daily in the room (free of charge).
Also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), sea view (DMU), or for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

Family Suite Superior

The Suite Superior rooms (SU2), with similar amenities to the Double Superior rooms, are more spacious (approx. 47 m²) and have an additional sitting/sleeping area separated by a curtain.
Also bookable as a Deluxe Double Room (DD2). In this room type, the sitting/sleeping area is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.

Family Room Deluxe

The Family Rooms Deluxe (2DF) have the same amenities as the Family Rooms Superior. The sleeping area for children is separated from the rest of the room by a sliding door.
