Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1st Day:
Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Medinet Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sailing to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time at your disposal.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visiting a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.

6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Then visit to the Kom Ombo Temple (1,2,3).
Afterwards, continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

Spend a wonderful holiday with a direct beach location at the popular Beach Albatros Resort of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The resort is located directly on the fine sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. It is about 17 km to the center of Hurghada and approx. 11 km to the airport.

Amenities

This particularly family-friendly resort features 678 rooms spread across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors can be reached comfortably via the five elevators. The lobby area offers a reception and a lobby bar. There are four different buffet restaurants ("L'Asiatique" Asian, "Le Marche" international, "Culina" seafood, "Sidi Ali" oriental cuisine), an à la carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), diverse bars, as well as a hairdresser and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in summer 2023, delights with a luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. The Bungalows Garden View (BG2) have a size of approx. 30 m² and are equipped with a double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tiles, air conditioning, telephone, safe (incl.), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person per day included), kettle, and balcony or terrace.

The Double Room Sea View (approx. 24 m², DM) has the same equipment as the Bungalow Garden View and additionally features a sea view and is located in the main building.

Super Saver Room

The Super Saver Rooms (SSZ) feature the same equipment as the Bungalow Garden View, are distributed throughout the hotel complex, and have a limited quota.
