Travel information

Combination package featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the cruise follows, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and travel to Kom Ombo, where you have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.

6th Day:

Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 exterior cabins spread across various decks. Location

Spend a wonderful holiday with a direct beach location at the popular Beach Albatros Resort, part of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The resort is located directly on a fine-grained sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. It is approximately 17 km to the center of Hurghada and about 11 km to the airport.

Facilities

This exceptionally family-friendly resort features 678 rooms spread across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors are easily accessible via five elevators. The lobby area offers a reception and a lobby bar. Four different buffet restaurants are available ("L'Asiatique" – Asian, "Le Marche" – international, "Culina" – seafood, "Sidi Ali" – oriental cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), various bars, as well as a hairdresser and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in the summer of 2023, delights with its luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. In the outdoor area, the pool landscape stretches across a total of 9 swimming pools (some heatable in winter), four of which have an integrated children's area, a children's pool, 13 slides for adults, and 9 slides for children, providing plenty of water fun. Bungalow Garden View

The Bungalows Garden View (BG2) are approx. 30 m² in size and are equipped with a double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tiled floor, air conditioning, telephone, safe (included), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person per day included), electric kettle, and balcony or terrace.
Additionally bookable as a Type I room (BGI/DEI) with a special price and limited availability.

The Double Rooms Sea View (approx. 24 m², DM) feature the same amenities as the Bungalows Garden View, additionally include a sea view, and are located in the main building.

Super Saver Room

The Super Saver Rooms (SSZ) offer the same amenities as the Bungalows Garden View, are distributed throughout the entire hotel complex, and have limited availability.
