Travel information

Combined product featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise hotel stay depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue cruising to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and cruise to Kom Ombo, where you have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visiting a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 exterior cabins spread across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Location

Spend a wonderful holiday right on the beach at the popular Beach Albatros Resort of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The resort is located directly on a fine sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. The centre of Hurghada is about 17 km away, and the airport is approx. 11 km away.

Facilities

This particularly family-friendly resort features 678 rooms distributed across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors are comfortably accessible via five lifts. The lobby area offers a reception and a lobby bar. Guests have access to four different buffet restaurants ("L'Asiatique" – Asian, "Le Marche" – international, "Culina" – seafood, "Sidi Ali" – oriental cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), various bars, as well as a hairdresser and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in summer 2023, delights guests with its luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. Bungalow Garden View

The Bungalow Garden View (BG2) rooms are approx. 30 m² and are equipped with one double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tiled floors, air conditioning, telephone, safe (included), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person/day included), kettle, and a balcony or terrace.

The bungalows are identical in size and facilities to the Bungalow Garden View rooms, although the view may differ (BU/B2A/B1B).

The Double Superior Pool View (DSP) rooms are equipped like the Bungalow Garden View rooms but are larger (approx. 36 m²) and have a pool view. These rooms may be located in the main building or in the annex buildings.

The Double Room Sea View (approx. 24 m², DM) have the same facilities as the Bungalow Garden View rooms, additionally offer a sea view, and are located in the main building.

Super Saver Room

The Super Saver Rooms (SSZ) have the same facilities as the Bungalow Garden View rooms, are distributed throughout the hotel complex, and have limited availability.
