Travel information

Combined product featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers between components. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Medinet Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and travel to Kom Ombo, where you will have some free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visiting a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box included.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterward, visit to the Kom Ombo Temple (1,2,3).
Then proceed via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.
Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 7:
At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 exterior cabins distributed across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Beach Albatros Resort

Spend a wonderful holiday with a beachfront location at the popular Beach Albatros Resort of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain. Enjoy the view of the beautiful Red Sea and let yourself be enchanted. The resort is located directly on a fine sandy beach and is considered particularly family-friendly. It is about 17 km to the center of Hurghada and about 11 km to the airport.

Facilities

This particularly family-friendly resort features 678 rooms distributed across a main building and several bungalows. Upper floors can be comfortably reached via five elevators. The lobby offers a reception and a lobby bar. Four different buffet restaurants are available ("L'Asiatique" – Asian, "Le Marche" – International, "Culina" – Seafood, "Sidi Ali" – Oriental cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant, a shisha corner (for a fee), various bars, as well as a hairdresser and boutiques. The "Dolce Vita Lounge Bar," newly opened in summer 2023, impresses with its luxurious atmosphere and delicious cocktails. In the outdoor area, the pool landscape spans a total of 9 swimming pools (some of which are heated in winter), four of which have an integrated children's area and a children's pool, 13 slides for adults, and 9 slides for children, providing plenty of water fun. Bungalow Garden View

The Bungalow Garden View (BG2) rooms are approx. 30 m² in size and equipped with one double bed or two single beds, shower/WC, tiled floors, air conditioning, telephone, safe (included), satellite TV, mini-fridge (1 bottle of water per person per day included), kettle, and a balcony or terrace.
Additionally available as Type I room (BGI/DEI) with a special price and limited allotment.
Also available for an extra charge with pool view (B2O) or for single use (BG1/B1O).

HRGA05: Bungalow

The bungalows are identical in size and furnishings to the Bungalow Garden View rooms, although the view may vary (BU/B2A/B1B).

Double Superior Pool View

The Double Superior Pool View rooms (DSP) are equipped like the Bungalow Garden View rooms, but are larger (approx. 36 m²) and feature pool views. The rooms can be located in the main building or in the annexes.

Double Room Sea View

The Double Room Sea View (approx. 24 m², DM) has the same facilities as the Bungalow Garden View, features an additional sea view, and is located in the main building.
Also bookable for single use (DEM).

Super-Saver Room

The Super-Saver Rooms (SSZ) feature the same facilities as the Bungalow Garden View, are distributed throughout the hotel complex, and are subject to limited availability.

Suite Sea View

The Suites Sea View (S2M) have the same facilities as the Bungalow Garden View but are more spacious (approx. 48 m²) with a living/bedroom area and a separate bedroom. The rooms are located in the main building.

Double Room Deluxe (HRGA05)

These double rooms are approx. 28 m² and equipped with air conditioning, TV, shower/WC, and a balcony or terrace with a garden view (DD2/DD3). Optionally also available without a specific view (DDA), with pool view (slightly smaller at approx. 24 m², DPB), towards the sea side (approx. 24 m², X2M), or with sea view (approx. 24 m², DDM).
