Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. Embarkation is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be used.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay in the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes
to Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo where you have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package included.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then visit Kom Ombo Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.
Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 7:
At 5 AM, excursion by balloon (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit the East Bank, Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins distributed across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.

The expansive resort is located directly on the hotel's private sand/pebble beach (beach shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
The gently sloping beach offers the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday. The long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

Facilities

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The comfortably and charmingly furnished complex features a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - Oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - International cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants and various bars and a café, The Bakery.
In the spacious outdoor area, there are 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which can be heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for young and old.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, cushions, and towels are available free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

The modern Superior Double rooms (DSU, approx. 42-45 sqm) are equipped with a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.

Royal Suite Swim Up Pool View

The Royal Suites (SWP) are approx. 105 sqm and have a bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a terrace with direct access to the communal swim-up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons for children, schauinsland-reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.
