Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.

A balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd day:
Morning, continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th day:
Morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).

Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5th day:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
6th day:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Afterwards, the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, which are spread over several decks. The reception area is brightly and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be spoiled with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The comfortably furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
The balconies of the Royal Suites also feature a small table and two chairs.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and are otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no sitting area.

Economy suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) while otherwise having the same facilities as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and without a sitting area, but instead with a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select

Location

Clear sea with beach and hotel buildings on the horizon under blue sky.
The newly built SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select, which opened in April 2024, impresses with its modern bohemian style. The resort is located directly on the dreamlike, hotel-owned lagoon sandy beach and thus offers perfect conditions for snorkelers and divers. The jetty makes it easier to enter deeper water. The airport of Marsa Alam is about 90 kilometers away from the hotel.

Facilities

The schauinsland-reisen-original hotel was built in a refined bohemian style and features 203 rooms and suites, which are distributed among several buildings. The complex has a reception with seating areas and an associated outdoor terrace. In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five different pools, including a splash pool, an infinity whirlpool, an adult-only pool (Oasis Pool), as well as an island and kids pool (all pools can be heated in winter). Restaurants include, among others, the Boscage Restaurant (international cuisine, open buffet), the à-la-carte-restaurant "Manzoku" (Asian cuisine), as well as "Basilico," which operates as an international à-la-carte-restaurant until the evening and as an Italian à-la-carte-restaurant in the evening. All à-la-carte-restaurants are included and can be visited daily by reservation. Snacks are available to guests at the "Indigo Terrace" bar. A total of seven different bars, one of which is adults-only, offer a selection of drinks. In addition, the holiday resort features a spa area, a fitness studio, a beauty salon, a miniclub, and various shops.

Family suite

The rooms (2FS) have the same facility elements as the superior double rooms, but are larger (approx. 50 m²) and consist of two bedrooms, separated by a door (one with a queen-size bed and one with two single beds), a bathroom with a shower, and a terrace.

Junior suite

Same facilities as the superior double rooms, but more spacious (JS2, approx. 55 m²) and with a living area.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1YZ).

Same facilities as the superior double rooms, but more spacious (2YZ, approx. 60 m²), with a small seating area and terrace with access to a small private pool. Bookable for single occupancy (1YZ).

Executive Suite

The executive suites have similar features to the superior double rooms but are larger (ES2, approx. 70 m²). The rooms feature a bedroom with a queen-size bed, dressing room, bathroom with a separate shower, seating area, and terrace.
Also bookable as a swim-up room with direct access to the sharing pool (EXG).

The Anjum Jacuzzi Suite (S2J) is approx. 80 m² and consists of a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a living room. With otherwise similar features, the rooms additionally have a balcony with a Jacuzzi and a view of the sea.

The main restaurant "Boscage" offers breakfast including coffee and tea as well as various freshly squeezed juices (7 AM - 10:30 AM), lunch (1 PM - 3 PM), and dinner (7 PM - 10 PM) in buffet form. As needed, the following à-la-carte-restaurants are also unlimitedly included for you (subject to availability with prior reservation): "Basilico" (12:30 PM - 5 PM international cuisine, 7 PM - 10 PM Italian cuisine) as well as "Manzoku," which is open from 6:30 PM to 10 PM and offers Asian cuisine. Coffee, tea, and cake are offered daily at the "Indigo Bar" from 3 PM to 5 PM. A midnight snack is available to guests from 11 PM to 1 AM in the Boscage restaurant.
