Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay before is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation is always selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, travel to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then continue back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the option to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship travels on to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship features a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) feature the same amenities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but instead with a non-opening window.

Location

The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly known for its turtle population and has a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday domicile is located about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam Airport. Various shopping opportunities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Facilities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites distributed throughout the entire grounds. These include various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, noble design and was conceived very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort as well as the bay and has a reception with various seating areas and a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a jacuzzi (partially heatable in winter). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to guests in the pool area as well as on the private beach section free of charge; bath and beach towels are already located in the rooms. The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior Swim-up double room advantage room

The Superior swim-up double rooms (DWP) feature the same equipment characteristics as the Superior double rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also feature the following amenities exclusive to schauinsland-reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the room
- VIP Treatment upon arrival: Coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07-10 a.m.), lunch (12:30-02:30 p.m.), and dinner (07-10 p.m.) in buffet form. In addition, a late riser breakfast is available there from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Additionally, guests have two à-la-carte restaurants at their disposal (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but thereafter for a fee: "Tao Tao" Restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as, among others, sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à-la-carte restaurant "Bay View" offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine.
