Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise hotel stay depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the visit to the Aswan High Dam.

Itinerary:
1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 a.m., a balloon trip is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
3rd Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
4th Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
5th Day:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then it continues back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Afterward, the ship sails to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterward, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Afterward, the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
8th Day:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available to you. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness room, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sundeck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area and French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same facilities as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks as well as a small bottle of water per person are included.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, you can discover the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya. The resort also has its own sandy beach section and is only approx. 5 km away from Marsa Alam airport.

Facilities

The beautiful adults-only facility (bookable from 16 years of age) features 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a reception desk and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. For the well-being of guests, there is a main restaurant and four à la carte restaurants ("Basilico" Italian, "Rocca" Asian, "Zaytoun" Oriental, "Mashawi" Seafood) to pamper you with delicious dishes. In the various bars, you will receive a wide selection of drinks.
In the outdoor area of the facility, there are five generously laid-out pools (partially heated in winter) and inviting sun terraces.

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously equipped and have the same amenity elements as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with a bathtub, Jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area, and features a terrace with a private pool.

Superior double room

The comfortably furnished Superior Double (DSU) rooms are 40 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.
Available at an extra charge with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU), as well as for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

The Superior Double Swim Up (DWP) rooms are slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²) with the same facilities as the Superior double rooms and have their own direct pool access from the terrace.

The Premium Deluxe Double Swim Up (PWS) rooms are more spacious (approx. 75 m²) with the same facilities as the Superior double, and feature their own Jacuzzi (indoor) and pool access to the shared pool.

The Premium Deluxe Double Sea View rooms are similar in facilities to the Superior double rooms, but are larger at approx. 75 m² and feature a sea view (P2M).
