MS Nile Excellence incl. Excursion

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks served by the three onboard bars. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. As of Winter 2024/25, the ship has a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.

The single suites (S1) are approximately 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Standard Suite

The Standard Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller than the suites (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities, but possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, featuring a non-opening window.

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the most economical available room category. Boarding is always on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay is mandatory. The earliest possible boarding will always be used.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning continuation to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Then visit a Nubian village (3).

Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box included.

Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the option to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the option to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Location

Located in the beautiful bay of Marsa Mubarak, the Iberotel Costa Mares hotel belongs to the renowned JAZ Hotel Group. The offshore coral reef offers a fascinating underwater world for divers and snorkelers. It is one of the most famous spots for diving with dugongs and turtles.
The nearest town with a beautiful marina and various shopping and entertainment options is about 5 km away. The distance to Marsa Alam Airport is only about 8 km.

Facilities

The modern hotel complex (from Winter 2025/2026, adults only, 16 years and older!) has a total of 208 rooms, spread across the main building and annexes. The stylish hotel is equipped with a modern lobby with reception, a fitness studio, various shops, and a spa area. For culinary delights, there is a buffet restaurant with an outdoor terrace and two à la carte restaurants.
