Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Saturdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The stay before and after the cruise at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation: Thursday
The itinerary may shift depending on the day of embarkation.
Itinerary:
1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
Tour of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m., balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
3rd Day:
Tour of the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Continue from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
6th Day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Journey to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Continue to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight stay on board.
8th Day:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins, which are spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your well-being. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

Cabin single occupancy

With the same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

JAZ Elite Maraya

The modern and stylish JAZ Elite Maraya is in a fantastic location directly on the sea, in the idyllic Madinat Coraya. Here you can spend a relaxing holiday where recreation and family fun go hand in hand. The sandy beach in the elongated bathing bay is only a few minutes' walk away (beach section of the adjacent JAZ Solaya hotel). The distance to Marsa Alam airport is only approx. 5 km.

Facilities

The "JAZ Elite Maraya" hotel complex was completely newly built in 2018/19 and opened for the 2019 summer season.
The modern hotel in a stylish setting with a total of 202 rooms offers a particular variety of activities for families with children and is therefore perfect for a relaxing and restorative holiday in Egypt.
Children can have fun in the large Splash Kids Pool with fun water features and an octopus slide, build sandcastles in the sand playground, or spend eventful hours in the beautiful kids' club. To burn off energy, they can go climbing or play football on the large outdoor playground.
In the family area, parents and children can rest and recharge their batteries together. A main pool (heatable in winter) is available to all guests there. International and local cuisine is offered in the main restaurant in varied buffets. For the little guests, there is a kids' buffet. A special culinary highlight is a visit to one of the three specialty restaurants "Nino's" and "Sofra" for lovers of Italian and oriental cuisine, and "MoMo" for lovers of Asian cuisine (depending on availability and with prior reservation).
Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are included at the pools and on the beach.

Superior family room

The superior family rooms (DF2) have the same features as the superior doubles, but are larger (approx. 52 m²) and feature a living room/bedroom for the children as well as a separate bedroom for the parents separated by a door.
Also bookable as a superior family room sea side (FY2) or with pool view (FUP).

Katta's family room

With similar features as the family rooms, but furnished in the popular Katta style (KWF), these rooms make children's hearts beat faster. The Katta rooms have 2 rooms with a connecting door to the parents' bedroom and are equipped with a bunk bed for the children.
Also bookable as Katta family room sea side (KWS) for an extra charge or as Katta superior family room pool view (KPW) with pool view.

Deluxe family room

The deluxe family rooms (2DF) have the same features as the superior family rooms, but are even more spacious (63 m²) and additionally equipped with a cozy seating area.
Also bookable with pool view (FPD), sea view (F2D), or on the sea side (FXD).

Katta's deluxe family room

With similar features as the deluxe family rooms, but furnished in the popular Katta style (KWD), these rooms make children's hearts beat faster. The Katta rooms are equipped with a bunk bed for the children.

Deluxe family room type A

Same features as the deluxe family room, but bookable with 2 adults and 3 children or 2 adults, 2 children, and a baby. The 3rd child will then sleep in the parents' bed or in a baby cot. (ADF)
Alternatively also bookable on the sea side (FXA).

Katta's deluxe family room type A (KWA)

With the same features as Katta's deluxe family rooms, but bookable with 2 adults and 3 children or 2 adults, 2 children, and a baby. The 3rd child will then sleep in the parents' bed or in a baby cot.
Alternatively also bookable with pool view (AKP) or on the sea side (FDA).

Family junior suite sea view

With the same features as the deluxe family rooms (2FJ, approx. 86 m²), the suite features a private pool and sea view.

Katta's family junior suite sea view

With the same features as the superior double rooms, but larger (KSM, approx. 86m²) and furnished in the popular Katta style, these rooms make children's hearts beat faster. The Katta rooms are equipped with a bunk bed for the children. The rooms feature a private pool.

Breakfast from 7-10 a.m., lunch from 12:30-2:30 p.m., and dinner from 6:30-9 p.m. buffet-style in the main restaurant with its own children's corner for the little guests and various theme evenings. Late riser breakfast from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the pool bar. Dinner in the à la carte restaurant "Sea Horse" (prior reservation required) or Dine Around (1x per stay included) in the Italian or Oriental restaurant (depending on availability and with prior reservation).
In the afternoon, snacks and ice cream for children at the pool and beach bar. Coffee and cake are prepared and served in various variations in the afternoon. The Madinat Coraya food court offers snacks, soft drinks, and desserts on the beach from 12-4 p.m.

Appropriate attire is requested in the restaurants. Gentlemen should wear long trousers and no swimwear/beach shoes.
