Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Kleos and a beach holiday, including all transfers between them. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven Days according to the program. The preceding and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterward, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterward, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Afterward, the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Kleos has a total of 67 cabins spread over three different decks. On the middle deck, you will find an imposing and spacious reception area with seating and a small bazaar. The main restaurant on the Nile Deck offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet-style. Two bars provide refreshing drinks, one of which is located on the third deck (Lounge Bar) and the other on the Sun deck. On the Sun deck, there are also plenty of loungers for relaxation, as well as a spacious pool with two integrated whirlpools.

Cabin

The tastefully furnished cabins (17 m²) feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, and safe. All cabins also have floor-to-ceiling windows and a French balcony.

Single cabin

Same facilities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 11 m²) and with only one bed.

The JAZ Amara resort, newly opened in December 2023, is situated on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first row of the beach in the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly known for its population of sea turtles and has a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday domicile is about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping opportunities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites spread throughout the resort. These include various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, noble design and was very generously conceived. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and has a reception with various seating areas and a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a jacuzzi (partially heatable in winter). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for guests in the pool area as well as on the private beach section free of charge; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. Furthermore, the facility has a spacious fitness studio on the first floor with a panoramic view of the bay and the pool landscape. Directly adjacent is the hotel's own Mivida-Spa (for a fee). The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior Swim-up double room advantage room

The superior swim-up double rooms (DWP) have the same features as the superior double rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also have the following exclusive schauinsland-reisen amenities:

Deluxe double room

The deluxe double rooms (DD2) are, with the same facilities as the superior double rooms, larger (approx. 56m²) and are suitable for families due to the layout (a king-size bed and two sofa beds in the front area). Optionally also bookable with side sea view (DDS), sea view (DM2), or as swim-up (DWU).

Executive Suite

The Executive Suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. The Executive Suites also have a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:30), and dinner (19:00-22:00) in buffet form. There is also a late-riser breakfast available from 10:30-12:00. Additionally, two à-la-carte restaurants are available to guests (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but are for a fee thereafter: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à-la-carte restaurant "Bay View" offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine. Tea time is offered from 12:30 to 17:00.
