Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Kleos and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay before is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date is always used.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stays at the hotel depend on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to the West Bank of Luxor to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Kleos has a total of 67 cabins spread over three different decks. On the middle deck, you will find an imposing and spacious reception area with seating and a small bazaar. The main restaurant on the Nile Deck offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet-style. Two bars ensure refreshing drinks, one of which is located on the third deck (Lounge Bar) and the other on the sun deck. On the sun deck, there are also plenty of loungers for necessary relaxation, as well as a spacious pool with two integrated whirlpools.

Cabin

The tastefully furnished cabins (17 m²) have a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, and safe. In addition, all cabins have floor-to-ceiling windows and a French balcony.

Single Cabin

Same facilities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 11 m²) and with only one bed.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya can be discovered. The resort also features its own sandy beach section and is only approx. 5 km away from Marsa Alam airport.

Facilities

The beautiful adults-only facility (bookable from age 16) features 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a reception desk and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. Guests are well cared for by a main restaurant and four à-la-carte restaurants ("Basilico"-Italian, "Rocca"-Asian, "Zaytoun"-Oriental, "Mashawi"-Seafood), which spoil you with delicious dishes. In the various bars, you can find a wide selection of drinks.
In the outdoor area of the facility, there are five generously laid-out pools (partially heatable in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels are free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

Royal Suite Sea View Private Pool

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously equipped and have the same amenities as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with bathtub, Jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area, and features a terrace with a private pool.

Double Room Superior

The comfortably furnished Double Superior (DSU) rooms are 40 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.
Also bookable for an extra charge with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU), as well as for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

Double Superior Swim Up

The Double Superior Swim Up (DWP) rooms are slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²) with the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms and have their own direct pool access from the terrace.

Double Deluxe Sea View

Double Premium Deluxe Swim Up
