Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay before is mandatory. The next possible embarkation date will always be used.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven Days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1. Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
Sightseeing of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m. hot air balloon trip (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, the Karnak Temple, and the Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
3. Day:
Sightseeing of the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
4. Day:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Afterwards, proceed to Aswan, where the overnight stay also takes place.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.
5. Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
6. Day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sailing to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
7. Day:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
8. Day:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins, which are spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides for culinary well-being with delicious dishes. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully equipped cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

Cabin single occupancy

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first beach row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly well known for the settlement of turtles and has a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday domicile is located about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. You will find various shopping opportunities with bars and restaurants at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Facilities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites, which are spread over the entire complex. These include various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very attractive, noble design and was designed very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and has a reception with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area features a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to guests free of charge in the pool area as well as on the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. Furthermore, the complex has a spacious fitness center on the first floor with a panoramic view of the bay and the pool landscape. Directly adjacent is the hotel's own Mivida Spa (for a fee). A main restaurant, two à la carte restaurants, and various bars are at your disposal.

Double Room Superior

The friendly furnished double rooms superior (DSU, approx. 51m²) have a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar, and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, and a minibar. The rooms are each equipped with a king-size bed or two single beds. There is also a tea and coffee station in the room. The rooms have a terrace or a balcony. Also bookable with pool (DSP), side sea (DSS), and sea view (DMU). Also each bookable for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).
(Additionally bookable under RMFA45 as Double Room Superior Swim Up with direct access to the sharing pool (DWP/EWP/B2Q) ).

Double Room Superior Sea View Guaranteed Top Floor

The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the superior double rooms and have a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel and thus offer a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Double Room Superior Swim-up Advantage Room

The Double Rooms Superior Swim-up (DWP) have the same features as the Double Rooms Superior, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also have the following amenities exclusive to Schauinsland-Reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP Treatment upon arrival: coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.
- Use of the à la carte restaurants is included one more time (Teppanyaki restaurant is excluded; in all other rooms the à la carte restaurants are only included once).

Executive Suite

The Executive Suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and have a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar, and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. The Executive Suites also have a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

The Royal Suites (RS) are 153m² and have, with the same equipment as the superior double rooms, a king-size bed and a dining group. The rooms also have a lush terrace with access to the private pool (heatable in winter) and direct sea view.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07-10 a.m.), lunch (12:30-02:30 p.m.), and dinner (07-10 p.m.) in buffet form. In addition, a late riser breakfast is available there from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. In addition, guests have two à la carte restaurants (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but thereafter for a fee: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à la carte restaurant "Bay View" offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine.
