Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days in accordance with the program. The prior and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m., hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Continue journey from Esna.
Then on to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.

Day 5:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 6:
Opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Journey to Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Continue to Esna and visit to the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight stay on board.

The ship has a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your well-being. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and feature a small porthole.

Cabin single occupancy

Equipped the same as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The resort of the renowned Steigenberger chain is located in a quiet area, directly on the gently sloping, hotel-owned sandy beach with a unique house reef in Madinat Coraya.
Madinat Coraya Bay is a dream vacation destination, offering ideal conditions for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. The underwater world is home to countless rare fish species. The distance to Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam airport is approximately 8 km.

Facilities

The spacious Adults Only (bookable from 16 years) hotel complex with a total of 364 elegant rooms features a warm and oriental ambiance. Facilities include an inviting lobby with reception, ensuring you feel comfortable from the very first moment, as well as several shops, an amphitheater, and a Bedouin tent. Culinary variety is provided by a main restaurant, an à-la-carte restaurant ("Fayrouz" - Mediterranean dishes), and various bars.
Furthermore, Madinat Coraya offers a Dine Around: Once per stay, one visit to the Italian à-la-carte "Basilico Restaurant", the Asian "Rocca" Restaurant, or the oriental "Zaytoun" is included for All-Inclusive guests (reservation required).
Outside, there are 3 pools (one of which is heated) and a pool/beach bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge on the hotel's own beach and at the pools.

The Deluxe double rooms (DD2) are equipped similarly to the Superior double rooms, but are slightly larger (approx. 34 m²) and feature additional sofa beds.

Superior double room sea view guaranteed upper floors

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (XO2) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., all in buffet form. Various snacks are available throughout the day for small appetites.
Afternoon tea time with a selection of coffee, tea, and cake from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and ice cream from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as fresh juice from 10 a.m. to midnight. "Pharao Club" guests receive one dinner per stay in an à-la-carte restaurant (in "Fayruz") included; reservation required. A fruit basket upon arrival.
