Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most economical available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
A balloon flight is possible at 5 a.m. (optional, can be booked on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards visit to a Nubian village (3).

5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.

Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
8th Day:

Amenities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a front desk. Indulge in culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available to you. Starting in winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise feature the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

The True Beach Resort, which consists of the sub-areas „True Beach Resort“ (bookable under RMF333, completely renovated) and the True Beach Village (bookable under RMF444, newly built), opened its doors for the first time in December 2023. The facility, designed in an Arabic boho style, is located south of Marsa Alam and sits on a dreamlike stretch of coast with a bay in front with crystal-clear water, right on the beach. Offshore coral reefs invite you to snorkel (swim shoes recommended). The airport of Marsa Alam is approximately 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Amenities

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel was built in a noble Bohemian style, paired with modern Arabic accents, and thus offers a unique design in Egypt. The 5-star facility consists of two sub-areas, the "True Beach Resort," which is particularly suitable for families, and the "True Beach Village" (bookable under RMF444) as an adult-only area, which is bookable from 16 years of age. The complex features a total of 158 rooms, which are distributed across both sub-areas, and offers a spacious reception area with a front desk as well as a lobby bar "True Lobby Bar" with seating in indoor and outdoor areas. The resort area has two spacious pools as well as a whirlpool that is integrated into the main pool (one of which is heatable in winter). An island in the main pool, reachable via a wooden bridge, offers chill-out areas for young and old with loungers and beanbags. A children's pool and a children's splash pool with various water features are located next to the miniclub and the adjacent playground with a sun canopy. The main restaurant "El Manzil" offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet form; additionally, the fish restaurant "Ritsa" located on the beach is included once per stay. The three à-la-carte restaurants "El Tawla" (oriental), "NORI" (Asian fusion), as well as "ILIOS" (Greek) are located in the village area and are for a fee (adult only, reservation required). Furthermore, the facility has a pool bar "Maya," a rooftop bar "Sama Bar" (shisha available, for a fee), a theater that offers various entertainment programs in the evening, a beach bar, as well as various shops, a hairdresser, and a spa area. The village area is surrounded by a spacious water landscape and offers a total of 4 different main pools that run through the entire facility, as well as an infinity pool that offers a view of the crystal-clear bay (all pools are heatable). In the middle of the pool landscape, a pool bar "Scarab Bar" awaits you, as well as the oriental restaurant "El Tawla" and a chaise lounge. Two additional bars "Salt Bar" as well as "ILIOS" Bar directly on the beach are available in the village area. Guests of the village area are allowed to use both sub-areas, but not vice versa.
