Product information

Combined package of a Nile cruise on MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, optional hot air balloon excursion (can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Visit the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late in the evening, sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where you will also spend the night.
Lunch and dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then there is an opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sail to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship has a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread across several decks. The main restaurant offers delicious dishes for your culinary well-being. This is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Beach towels are included on board.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet. Drinks at a charge.

Occasional evening entertainment with folklore.

Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Budget Cabins

The budget cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole window.

Single Occupancy Cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Location

The sprawling resort is located directly on the hotel's private sandy/pebble beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
Due to the gently sloping beach, you have the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday on the one hand. On the other hand, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can get to know the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

Facilities

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The comfortably and charmingly furnished complex has a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - Oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - International cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, reservation required), two snack restaurants, and various bars and a café, The Bakery.
In the extensive outdoor area, there are 12 swimming pools (three of them heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of them heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for young and old.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, cushions, and towels are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach.
Guests of the "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).

Double Room

The modern rooms with garden view are spacious (D, approx. 35 m²) and equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water only included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.

Beachfront Sea View

The Beachfront Sea View rooms (BF2, approx. 42-45 m²) are large and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and terrace or balcony. The Beachfront Sea View rooms are located directly on the beach with a view of the sea.

Superior Double Room

The modern Superior Double rooms (DSU, approx. 42-45m²) are equipped with a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.
Available at an extra charge also with pool view (DSP) or sea view (DMU).
