Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise follows, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

The itinerary may shift depending on the day of embarkation.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on-site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, including Karnak and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Tour of the West Bank. Morning breakfast, followed by an excursion to Thebes-West to visit the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) and the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continuing from Esna.
Proceeding to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.

Day 5:
Morning breakfast, followed by a visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then, visit to the Philae Temple via motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Opportunity to visit a Nubian village, surrounded by desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
Opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Journey to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.

The ship features a welcoming reception and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins distributed over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals, complemented by a cozy lounge bar. Economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like standard cabins but are located on lower decks and feature a small porthole.

Single cabin

The sprawling resort is located directly on its own sand/shingle beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam airport.
The gently sloping beach offers the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday. Additionally, a long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach provides the perfect conditions for snorkeling and diving.

Facilities

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The cozy and charmingly furnished complex features a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan"-oriental, "Soprano Restaurant"-international cuisine), one à-la-carte restaurant ("Shell Fish"-seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, various bars, and a café, The Bakery.
The extensive outdoor area contains 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which are heatable in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heatable in winter) offers fun for all ages.
Sunbeds, umbrellas, cushions, and towels are free of charge at the pool and beach.

Royal Suite Swim Up pool view

Royal Suites (SWP) are approx. 105 m² and feature bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and terrace with direct access to the communal swim-up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms.
(Additional inventory bookable under RMFA49 as Royal Suite type B (RZ3)).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for young children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, schauinsland-reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Junior suite panorama sea view

Spacious Junior Suites Panoramic Sea View (J2M, approx. 52 m²) offer an impressive panoramic view of the Red Sea and the resort complex from their elevated position. The tastefully furnished suites feature a combined living and sleeping area with a king-size bed, seating area, and dressing area. Further amenities include air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, minibar, kettle, safe, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Double Deluxe rooms are the same in size and features as standard double rooms (DD2). Also bookable with pool view (DBP) and sea view (DDM).

Bungalow Deluxe sea view (RMFA49)

Bungalow Deluxe rooms are approx. 35 m² and equipped with air conditioning, bathroom with shower or bathtub/WC, flatscreen TV, balcony or terrace, and have sea view (2BM).

Superior Bungalow sea view (RMFA49)

Superior Bungalows are similar in features to Bungalow Deluxe but are larger at approx. 45 m² (2UB).
