Travel information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the inbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay in the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

The following excursions are automatically included when booking the MS Nile Excellence: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.

Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and the three bars on board will serve you refreshing drinks. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The brightly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise equipped like the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) with otherwise the same equipment as the suites, and may have a non-opening window instead of a French balcony and seating area.

The sprawling resort is located directly on the hotel's private sandy/pebble beach (swimming shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
The gently sloping beach offers the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday. On the other hand, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

Facilities

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. The cozy and charmingly furnished complex has a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - Oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - International cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, and various bars and a café, The Bakery.
In the spacious outdoor area, there are 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two can be heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; partially heated in winter) offers fun for young and old.

Royal Suite Swim Up Pool View

The Royal Suites (SWP) are approx. 105 sqm and feature a bathroom/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a terrace with direct access to the shared swim-up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk to small children.
