Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay in the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

2nd day:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to the West Bank of Thebes
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue cruising to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and cruise to Kom Ombo where you have free time at your disposal.
Continue cruising to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visiting a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 exterior cabins spread across various decks. The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first beach row of the popular Marsa Mares bay. The bay is particularly well-known for its turtle population and features a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday home is located about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam Airport. Various shopping facilities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Facilities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites spread across the entire complex. These include various Superior and Deluxe rooms, suites, and Swim-Up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, elegant design and has been very spaciously conceived. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort as well as the bay and has a reception with various seating areas and a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. There are seven different pools waiting for you, including a children's, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heatable in winter). Sun loungers and parasols are available to guests free of charge in the pool area as well as on the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. Furthermore, the complex has a spacious fitness studio on the first floor with a panoramic view of the bay and the pool landscape. Directly adjacent is the hotel's own Mivida Spa (for a fee). A main restaurant, two à-la-carte restaurants, and various bars are at your disposal.

Superior Double Room

The comfortably furnished Superior double rooms (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, and a minibar. The rooms are equipped with either a king-size bed or two single beds. There is also a tea and coffee station in the room. The rooms have a terrace or balcony. The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior Swim-up Double Room Value Room

The Superior Swim-up double rooms (DWP) have the same features as the Superior double rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also feature the following amenities exclusive to Schauinsland-Reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP Treatment upon arrival: coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.

In addition, the Executive Suites feature a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

The Royal Suites (RS) are 153m² in size and, with the same furnishings as the Superior double rooms, feature a king-size bed and a dining set. The rooms also feature a lush terrace with access to the private pool (heatable in winter) and a direct sea view.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07:00-10:00), lunch (12:30-14:30), and dinner (19:00-22:00) in buffet form. In addition, a late riser breakfast is available there from 10:30-12:00. Furthermore, two à-la-carte restaurants are available to guests (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but subsequently for a fee: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki.
