Travel information

Combination package featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be into Luxor. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3. Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4. Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5. Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.

6. Day:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7. Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is the opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Amenities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness center, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same features as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same equipment as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same equipment as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly known for its turtle population and has a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday home is about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping facilities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Amenities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites spread throughout the facility. These include various Superior and Deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, elegant design and has been very generously conceived. The impressive lobby area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and features a reception desk with various seating options as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). The friendly furnished Superior Double Rooms (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar, and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, and a minibar. The rooms are each equipped with a king-size bed or two single beds. There is also a tea and coffee station in the room. The rooms have a terrace or balcony. Superior Double Room Sea View Guaranteed Top Floor

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior Double Rooms and have a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel and thus offer a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior Swim-up Double Room Value Room

The Superior Swim-up Double Rooms (DWP) have the same features as the Superior Double Rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also have the following amenities exclusive to schauinsland-reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP treatment upon arrival: coffee/tea maker in the room, additionally 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.
- The use of the à-la-carte restaurants is included an additional time (Teppanyaki restaurant is excluded; in all other rooms, the à-la-carte restaurants are only included once).

The Executive Suites also feature a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07-10 a.m.), lunch (12:30-02:30 p.m.), and dinner (07-10 p.m.) in buffet form. In addition, a late sleeper breakfast is available there from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Guests also have access to two à-la-carte restaurants (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but are for a fee afterwards: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki. The à-la-carte restaurant "Bay View" offers Mediterranean fine-dining cuisine.
