Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning, continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, spread over several decks. The reception area is bright, elegant, and equipped with a reception desk. Let yourself be spoiled with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served at the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same equipment as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same equipment as the suites, and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a window that cannot be opened.

The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first beach row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly known for the habitat of sea turtles and has a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday domicile is about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping facilities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Facilities

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites spread across the entire property. These include various Superior and Deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, noble design and has been designed very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and features a reception desk with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Sun loungers and parasols are available to guests free of charge in the pool area and on the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. Furthermore, the complex has a spacious gym on the first floor with a panoramic view of the bay and the pool landscape. Directly adjacent is the hotel's own Mivida Spa (for a fee). Superior Double Room

The friendly furnished Superior double rooms (DSU, approx. 51m²) feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, and a minibar. The rooms are each equipped with a king-size bed or two single beds. There is also a tea and coffee station in the room. The rooms have a terrace or a balcony. The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior Swim-up Double Room Value Room

The Superior swim-up double rooms (DWP) have the same features as the Superior double rooms but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also feature the following amenities exclusive to schauinsland-reisen:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP treatment upon arrival: Coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.
- The use of the à-la-carte restaurants is included one more time (Teppanyaki restaurant is excluded; in all other rooms, the à-la-carte restaurants are only included once).

Executive Suite

The Executive Suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. The Executive Suites also have a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07-10 a.m.), lunch (12:30-02:30 p.m.), and dinner (07-10 p.m.) in buffet form. In addition, a late riser breakfast is available from 10:30-12 p.m. In addition, two à-la-carte restaurants are available to guests (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but thereafter for a fee: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki.
