Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
At 5 am, a hot air balloon ride is possible (can be booked optionally on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3rd Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards visit to a Nubian village (3).

5th Day:
Early morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then continue to Kom Ombo.

6th Day:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a front desk. Indulge your palate in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) feature the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same amenities as the suites but are somewhat smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

The newly opened JAZ Amara resort (opened December 2023) is situated on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first beach row of the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly known for its resident turtles and features a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday home is located about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping facilities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

Facilities

The stylishly built hotel complex features a total of 272 rooms and suites spread throughout the resort. These include various Superior and Deluxe rooms, suites, and Swim-Up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, sophisticated design and was generously conceived. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay, and features a front desk with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that stretches through the entire complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's pool, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Loungers and parasols are available free of charge to guests in the pool area and on the private beach section; bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. The newly bookable Schauinsland-Reisen-Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the top floor of the hotel, thus offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Superior Swim-up double room advantage room

The Superior Swim-up double rooms (DWP) feature the same equipment as the Superior double rooms, but with direct access to the sharing pool and sun loungers on the terrace. The rooms also have the following Schauinsland-Reisen exclusive amenities:
- Fruit basket upon arrival in the rooms
- VIP treatment upon arrival: coffee/tea maker in the room, additional 2 bathrobes, various snacks such as apples, berries, chocolate, macarons, nuts, and various Arabic pastries.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07-10 am), lunch (12:30-02:30 pm), and dinner (07-10 pm) in buffet form. In addition, a late-riser breakfast is available from 10:30 am to 12 pm. Furthermore, two à-la-carte restaurants are available (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but are for a fee afterward: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki.
