Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Kleos and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the lowest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable locally).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon travel to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Travel to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterward, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterward, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then returning to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterward, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
The ship then continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked locally).

Facilities

The MS Kleos has a total of 67 cabins spread over three different decks. On the middle deck, you will find an imposing and spacious reception area with seating and a small bazaar. The main restaurant on the Nile Deck offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet style. Refreshing drinks are provided by two bars, one of which is located on the third deck (Lounge Bar) and the other on the sun deck. On the sun deck, there are also sufficient sun loungers for relaxation, as well as a spacious pool with two integrated whirlpools.

Cabin

The tastefully furnished cabins (17 m²) feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, and safe. Furthermore, all cabins have floor-to-ceiling windows and a French balcony.

Single Cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 11m²) and with only one bed.

The JAZ Amara Resort, newly opened in December 2023, is located on a beautiful, gently sloping beach section in the first row to the beach in the popular bay of Marsa Mares. The bay is particularly known for the settlement of sea turtles and has a house reef that invites you to snorkel and dive. Your holiday domicile is located about 8 kilometers from Marsa Alam airport. Various shopping facilities with bars and restaurants can be found at the port of Port Ghalib (about 5 kilometers away).

The stylishly built hotel complex has a total of 272 rooms and suites spread throughout the resort. These include various superior and deluxe rooms, suites, and swim-up rooms. Your holiday resort surprises with a very appealing, noble design and was designed very generously. The impressive reception area offers a direct sea view of the resort and the bay and has a reception desk with various seating areas as well as a lobby bar. The outdoor area has a large pool landscape that runs through the complex. Seven different pools await you, including a children's, a baby pool, and a Jacuzzi (partially heated in winter). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to guests free of charge in the pool area as well as on the private beach section, and bath and beach towels are already in the rooms. The Double Deluxe (DD2) are larger (approx. 56m²) with the same amenities as the double rooms Superior and are suitable for families due to the equipment (a king-size bed and two sofa beds in the front area). Optionally bookable with side sea view (DDS), sea view (DM2), or as swim-up (DWU).

Executive Suite

The Executive Suites (2SU) are spacious (approx. 150m²) and feature a walk-in shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, minibar and telephone (each for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), LED TV, a minibar, and a coffee/tea maker. The Executive Suites also have a living/dining area. The suites have a large balcony with a private pool.

The main restaurant "Marasi Restaurant" offers international cuisine for breakfast (07-10 am), lunch (12:30-02:30 pm), and dinner (07-10 pm) in buffet style. In addition, a late riser breakfast is available there from 10:30 am to 12 pm. Guests have two à-la-carte restaurants at their disposal (reservation required), which are included three times per stay/guest (except Teppanyaki), but for a fee afterward: "Tao Tao" restaurant with a selection of Asian dishes such as, among others, sushi, sashimi, Japanese dishes, or Teppanyaki.
