Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Kleos and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Depending on the embarkation day, the itinerary may shift.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, travel to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then proceed back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Kleos has a total of 67 cabins spread over three different decks. On the middle deck, you will find an imposing and spacious reception area with seating and a small bazaar. The main restaurant on the Nile Deck offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet form. Two bars provide refreshing drinks, one of which is located on the third deck (Lounge Bar) and the other on the sun deck. On the sun deck, there are also sufficient sun loungers for necessary relaxation as well as a generously designed pool with two integrated whirlpools.

Cabin

The tastefully furnished cabins (17 m²) feature a bathroom with a bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, and safe. In addition, all cabins have floor-to-ceiling windows and a French balcony.

Single Occupancy Cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 11m²) and with only one bed.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Entrance to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya can be discovered. The resort also has its own sandy beach section and is only about 5 km away from Marsa Alam Airport.

Facilities

The beautiful adults-only complex (bookable from 16 years) features 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a reception desk and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. A main restaurant and four à-la-carte restaurants ("Basilico"-Italian, "Rocca"-Asian, "Zaytoun"-Oriental, "Mashawi"-Seafood) provide delicious food for guests. In the various bars, you can find a wide selection of drinks.
In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five generously designed pools (partially heated in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels are available free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously equipped and have the same features as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² in size and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with a bathtub, Jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area, and features a terrace with a private pool.

Double Room Superior

The comfortably furnished Double Superior (DSU) rooms are 40 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.
Available for an extra charge with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU), as well as for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

Double Superior Swim Up

The Double Superior Swim Up (DWP) rooms, with the same amenities as the Double Room Superior, are slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²) and have their own direct pool access from the terrace.

Double Deluxe Sea View

The Double Deluxe Sea View (DM2) rooms, with the same amenities as the Double Superior, are more spacious (approx. 70 m²) and additionally feature a dressing room and a balcony. Also available for single occupancy (DM1).
