Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Kleos and a beach holiday including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

The itinerary may vary depending on the embarkation day.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is available at 5 a.m. (optional, can be booked on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
The ship then continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Kleos has a total of 67 cabins spread over three different decks. On the middle deck, you will find an imposing and spacious reception area with seating and a small bazaar. The main restaurant on the Nile Deck offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet-style. Refreshing drinks are available at two bars, one located on the third deck (Lounge Bar) and the other on the sun deck. On the sun deck, there are also plenty of loungers for relaxation as well as a spacious pool with two integrated whirlpools.

Cabin

The tastefully furnished cabins (17 m²) feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, and safe. Furthermore, all cabins have floor-to-ceiling windows and a French balcony.

Single Cabin

Same facilities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 11m²) and with only one bed.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, you can discover the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya. The resort also has its own sandy beach section and is only approx. 5 km away from Marsa Alam Airport.

Facilities

The wonderful adults-only complex (bookable from age 16) has 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a reception desk and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. A main restaurant and four à-la-carte restaurants ("Basilico" - Italian, "Rocca" - Asian, "Zaytoun" - Oriental, "Mashawi" - Seafood) pamper you with delicious dishes. You can get a wide selection of drinks at the various bars.
In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five spacious pools (some can be heated in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, parasols, and towels are free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously furnished and have the same amenities as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² in size and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with bathtub, Jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area, and has a terrace with a private pool.

Double Room Superior

The comfortably furnished Double Superior rooms (DSU) are 40 m² in size and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.
Also bookable for an extra charge with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU), as well as for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

Double Superior Swim Up

The Double Superior Swim Up rooms (DWP) have the same facilities as the Double Superior rooms but are slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²) and have private, direct access to the pool from the terrace.

Double Deluxe Sea View

The Double Deluxe Sea View rooms (DM2) have the same facilities as the Double Superior, are more spacious (approx. 70 m²), and additionally feature a walk-in closet and a balcony. Also bookable for single use (DM1).

The Double Deluxe Swim Up rooms (DWU) are bookable as Schauinsland-Original rooms. The rooms have the same facilities as the Double Superior rooms, are more spacious (approx. 70 m²), and have their own access to the sharing pool.

Double Premium Deluxe Swim Up

The Double Premium Deluxe Swim Up rooms (PWS) have the same facilities as the Double Superior rooms, are more spacious (approx. 75 m²), have their own Jacuzzi (indoor), and pool access to the shared pool.
