Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all transfers between services. Hotel accommodation is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation: Thursday
The itinerary may shift depending on the embarkation day.
Itinerary:
1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
Sightseeing of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m., optional hot air balloon excursion (can be booked on site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
3rd Day:
Tour of the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late in the evening, departure for Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Continuing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay will take place.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
6th Day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Departure for Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Departure for Esna and visit to the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Overnight stay on board.
8th Day:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a welcoming reception area and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins, which are distributed across several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your culinary enjoyment. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, you will find a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approximately 19 m² in size and feature a bathroom with bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small porthole.

Single cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, you can discover the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya. The resort also has its own sandy beach section and is only approx. 5 km away from Marsa Alam airport.

Facilities

This beautiful adults-only facility (bookable from 16 years of age) has 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a front desk and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel features a souvenir shop and a hair salon. A main restaurant and four à-la-carte restaurants ("Basilico"-Italian, "Rocca"-Asian, "Zaytoun"-Oriental, "Mashawi"-Seafood) provide delicious cuisine to pamper guests. In the various bars, you will find a wide selection of drinks.
Outside, the complex offers five spacious pools (partially heated in winter) and inviting sun terraces.

Double room Superior

The Double Deluxe Swim Up (DWU) rooms are bookable as schauinsland-original rooms. These rooms, with the same amenities as the Double Superior, are more spacious (approx. 70 m²) and have their own access to the sharing pool.
