Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Tour of the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 AM, hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, the Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Tour of the West Bank. Morning after breakfast, excursion to Western Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening, sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continuing from Esna.
Afterwards, we continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay takes place.

Day 5:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a visit to a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sailing to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Continuing to Esna and visit to the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight on board.

Accommodation

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins, distributed over several decks. The main restaurant provides for your physical well-being with delicious dishes. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to browse and explore. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and feature a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single use (K1 or KA1).

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small round window.

Single cabin

With the same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya can be explored. The resort also has its own sandy beach area and is only approx. 5 km from Marsa Alam Airport.

Accommodation

The beautiful adults-only complex (bookable from 16 years) features 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a reception desk and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel features a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. A main restaurant and four à-la-carte restaurants ("Basilico" - Italian, "Rocca" - Asian, "Zaytoun" - Oriental, "Mashawi" - Seafood) will spoil you with delicious dishes. In the various bars, you can obtain a wide selection of drinks.
In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five spacious pools (partially heatable in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels are free of charge at the pool and beach.

Royal Suite Sea View private pool

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously equipped and feature the same amenities as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with bathtub, Jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area, and features a terrace with a private pool.

Double room Superior

The comfortably furnished Double Superior (DSU) rooms are 40 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), tea/coffee maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.
For an extra charge, also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU), as well as for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

The Double Superior Swim Up (DWP) rooms have the same equipment as the Double Superior rooms but are somewhat more spacious (approx. 50 m²) and have private, direct pool access from the terrace.
