Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all inter-hotel transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
At 5 a.m., a balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
3. Day:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
4. Day:
Morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
5. Day:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then return to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
6. Day:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7. Day:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness room that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z), with otherwise the same facilities as the suites, are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and potentially without a French balcony and seating area, but with a non-opening window.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person are included.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya can be discovered. The resort also has its own sandy beach section and is only about 5 km away from Marsa Alam airport.

Facilities

The beautiful adults-only facility (bookable from 16 years) has 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a reception desk and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel features a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. For the physical well-being of the guests, there is a main restaurant and four à-la-carte restaurants ("Basilico" - Italian, "Rocca" - Asian, "Zaytoun" - Oriental, "Mashawi" - Seafood) that will pamper you with delicious dishes. In the various bars, you will receive a wide selection of drinks.
In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five generously laid out pools (partly heatable in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels are free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously equipped and feature the same amenities as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with bathtub, Jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area, and has a terrace with a private pool.

Double Room Superior

The comfortably furnished Superior double rooms (DSU) are 40 m² and feature shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.
Available with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU) for an additional charge, as well as for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

Double Superior Swim Up

The Superior Swim Up double rooms (DWP) are slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²) with the same amenities as the Superior double rooms and have their own direct pool access from the terrace.

The Deluxe Swim Up double rooms (DWU) are bookable as schauinsland-original rooms. These rooms have the same amenities as the Superior double rooms, are more spacious (approx. 70 m²), and have their own access to a sharing pool.
