Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Kleos and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise follows, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation: Thursdays.
The itinerary may change depending on the day of embarkation.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then sails to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Amenities

The MS Kleos has a total of 67 cabins spread over three different decks. On the middle deck, you will find an imposing and spacious reception area with seating and a small bazaar. The main restaurant on the Nile Deck offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet style. Refreshing drinks are provided by two bars, one of which is located on the third deck (Lounge Bar) and the other on the sun deck. The sun deck also has plenty of sun loungers for necessary relaxation as well as a generously designed pool with two integrated whirlpools.

Cabin

The tastefully furnished cabins (17 m²) have a bathroom with a bathtub/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, and safe. All cabins also have floor-to-ceiling windows and a French balcony.

Single occupancy cabin

With the same amenities as the standard cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 11m²) and with only one bed.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya can be discovered. The resort also has its own sandy beach section and is only approx. 5 km away from Marsa Alam airport.

Amenities

The beautiful adults-only facility (bookable from 16 years) has 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a front desk and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. A main restaurant and four à-la-carte restaurants ("Basilico" Italian, "Rocca" Asian, "Zaytoun" Oriental, "Mashawi" Seafood) cater to guests' culinary needs. In the various bars, you will receive a wide selection of drinks.
In the outdoor area of the facility, there are five spacious pools (partly heatable in winter) and inviting sun terraces.

The comfortably furnished Double Superior (DSU) rooms are 40 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.
For an extra charge, also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU), as well as for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

Double Superior Swim Up

The Double Superior Swim Up (DWP) rooms have the same equipment as the Double Superior rooms, are slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²), and have their own direct pool access from the terrace.

Double Deluxe Sea View

Double Premium Deluxe Swim Up
