Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on board the ship always takes place for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and boarding day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Sailing on to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box included.
Then, we head back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You will then have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Afterwards, the ship sails on to Luxor.
Once you arrive, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Additionally, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. As of Winter 2024/25, the ship features a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the breathtaking views of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approximately 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
The Royal Suites also have a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approximately 13 m² in size and otherwise equipped like the suites, but with only a single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and may not have a French balcony or seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

Located in the beautiful bay of Marsa Mubarak is the Iberotel Costa Mares hotel, part of the renowned JAZ Hotel group. The coral reef in front offers a fascinating underwater world for divers and snorkelers. It is one of the best-known spots for diving with dugongs and turtles.
The nearest town with a beautiful marina and various shopping and entertainment options is about 5 km away. The distance to Marsa Alam Airport is only about 8 km.

Facilities

The modern hotel complex (from Winter 2025/2026, Adults Only, 16+) comprises a total of 208 rooms, spread across the main building and annexes. The stylish hotel is equipped with a modern lobby with a reception, a fitness studio, various shops, and a spa area. For your culinary needs, there is a buffet restaurant with an outdoor terrace and two à la carte restaurants. Superior Family Room Garden View
