Travel information

Combined product featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers between segments. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Morning after breakfast excursion to Thebes-West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning after breakfast visit to the Medinet Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continued journey to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and trip to Kom Ombo where you have free time.
Continued journey to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

Then opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visiting a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins distributed across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Situated in a slightly elevated position above the beach bay of Madinat Coraya, JAZ Lamaya Hotel is located. The beautiful, intact house reef with corals that partly reach up to the shore offers ideal conditions for snorkeling and diving. Access to the sea is about 150m away from the hotel. A jetty leads directly from the hotel into the water. Numerous shops, bars, and a beautiful promenade can be found in the idyllic port town of Port Ghalib. The distance to Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam Airport is about 8 km.

Facilities

This hotel complex was specifically designed for a relaxing family vacation. The very elegant and spacious resort was built in a Moorish-oriental style and has a total of 389 rooms, distributed over a main building and several two- and three-story residential buildings. The hotel features a stylish lobby with a reception and seating areas, a main restaurant with a non-smoking zone, a hairdresser, several shops, a bar, and an amphitheater. In the expansive outdoor area, you will find the generously laid-out pool landscape with four swimming pools (three of which can be heated in winter), a separate children's pool (can be heated in winter), a hangout area, and a beach/pool bar, as well as a new food court on the beach with snacks, drinks, and desserts.
