Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to the West Bank of Thebes
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon departure to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to Medinet Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and travel to Kom Ombo, where you will have some free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.
Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 7:
At 5 a.m., hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, the Karnak Temple, and the Luxor Temple (1,2,3).

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 exterior cabins spread across different decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, 24-hour reception, lounge bar, hairdresser (on request), souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are provided on board.

The JAZ Lamaya Hotel is located in a slightly elevated position above the beach bay of Madinat Coraya. The beautiful intact house reef with corals that reach up to the shore offers ideal conditions for snorkeling and diving. Access to the sea is approx. 150 m from the hotel. A jetty leads into the water directly at the hotel. Numerous shops, bars, and a beautiful promenade are located in the idyllic port town of Port Ghalib. The distance to Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam Airport is approximately 8 km.

Facilities

This hotel complex was designed specifically for relaxing family holidays. The very elegant and spacious resort was built in a Moorish-Oriental style and has a total of 389 rooms, distributed between a main building and several two- to three-story residential buildings. The hotel features a stylish lobby with reception and seating areas, a main restaurant with a non-smoking zone, a hairdresser, several shops, a bar, and an amphitheater. The expansive outdoor area includes a generously laid-out pool landscape with four swimming pools (three of which can be heated in winter), a separate children's pool (heated in winter), a hangout area, a beach/pool bar, and a new food court at the beach with snacks, drinks, and desserts. Bath towels, loungers, and umbrellas are available free of charge at the hotel's own beach and at the pools. The Coraya Aquapark is within walking distance and is sure to delight children.
