Travel Information

Combined package of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The selected travel offer has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
In the early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then, back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an option for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three bars on board. Additionally, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. As of Winter 2024/25, the ship features a small fitness studio that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic views of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approximately 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approximately 13 m² and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only a single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and may have a non-opening window instead of a French balcony and without a seating area.

The resort of the renowned Steigenberger chain is located in a quiet area, directly on the gently sloping, private sandy beach with a unique house reef in Madinat Coraya.
Madinat Coraya Bay is a fantastic holiday destination that offers ideal conditions for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. The underwater world is home to countless rare fish species. The distance to Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam Airport is approximately 8 km.

Facilities

The spacious adults-only (bookable for ages 16 and up) hotel complex with a total of 364 elegantly furnished rooms boasts a warm and oriental ambiance. Facilities include a welcoming lobby with a reception, ensuring you feel at home from the moment you arrive, as well as several shops, an amphitheater, and a Bedouin tent. For culinary variety, there is a main restaurant, an à la carte restaurant ("Fayrouz" - Mediterranean cuisine), and various bars.
Furthermore, Madinat Coraya offers a dine-around option: one visit per stay to the Italian à la carte "Basilico Restaurant", the Asian "Rocca" Restaurant, or the Oriental "Zaytoun" is included for All Inclusive guests (reservations required).

Breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, lunch from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, each in buffet form. Snacks are available throughout the day.
Afternoon tea time with a selection of coffee, tea, and cake from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and ice cream from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as fresh juice from 10 AM to midnight. "Pharao Club" guests receive one dinner in an à la carte restaurant per stay (at "Fayruz"), advance reservation required. A fruit basket upon arrival.
