Travel Information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the inbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, can be booked on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning continuation to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast pack included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
The ship then continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner available. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the magnificent view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The pleasantly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise equipped like the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and may have a non-opening window instead of a French balcony and seating area.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot beverages. Lunch and dinner include two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person.

The resort of the renowned Steigenberger chain is located quietly, directly on the gently sloping, hotel-owned sandy beach with a unique house reef in Madinat Coraya.
Madinat Coraya Bay is a dream holiday destination that offers ideal conditions for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. The underwater world is home to countless rare fish species. The distance to Port Ghalib and Marsa Alam Airport is approximately 8 km.

Facilities

The spacious adults-only (bookable for ages 16 and up) hotel complex with a total of 364 elegant rooms features a warm and oriental ambiance. Facilities include a welcoming lobby with a reception, ensuring you feel at home from the moment you arrive, as well as several shops, an amphitheater, and a Bedouin tent. For culinary variety, there is a main restaurant, an à la carte restaurant ("Fayrouz" - Mediterranean cuisine), and various bars.
Furthermore, Madinat Coraya offers a Dine Around: for all-inclusive guests, one visit to the Italian à la carte "Basilico Restaurant", the Asian "Rocca" restaurant, or the oriental "Zaytoun" is included per stay (reservations required).

Breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, lunch from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, each in buffet form. Snacks are available throughout the day for light hunger.
Afternoon tea time with a selection of coffee, tea, and cake from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and ice cream from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as fresh juice, are available from 10 AM to midnight. "Pharao Club" guests receive one dinner in an à la carte restaurant per stay (in "Fayruz"), reservation required. A fruit basket upon arrival.
