Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation in the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must arrive in Luxor. If the hotel is booked first followed by the Nile cruise, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning trip to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).

Day 4:

The ship then continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Amenities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modern outside cabins distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks served at the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The comfortably furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites, but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same amenities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, instead featuring a non-opening window.

The beautiful hotel complex is located directly in the heart of Makadi Bay next to the popular sister hotel "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" (HRG223). The holiday resort is located in the first row on the beach at the most beautiful snorkeling and diving spots of the bay and thus offers the opportunity to explore the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea directly from the gently sloping beach.
It is approx. 37 km to the city center of Hurghada. Hurghada Airport is approx. 32 km away.

Amenities

This schauinsland-reisen original hotel was built in an elegant Bohemian style and features 240 rooms and suites distributed across various building complexes. With its unique and high-quality catering concept, the hotel stands out in Egypt and offers a selection of three of its own À-la-carte-restaurants ("Lucina" - international cuisine, "Gaia" - Italian cuisine, and "Yades" - Greek cuisine) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lexi Swim Up Suite Poolview

The Lexi Swim Up Suite (SWP) has the same amenities as the Superior double rooms but is larger (approx. 43 m²). The rooms feature a terrace with access to the swim-up communal pool. There is a dining table and two separate sun loungers on the terrace.
Rooms with direct access to the sharing pool do not have their own swimming supervision and pose an increased risk potential for small children and non-swimmers. The supervisory duty at the pool therefore lies with the parents/guardians.

Superior double room

The comfortably furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 35 m²) are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and a balcony or terrace.

The Deluxe double rooms (DD2) have the same amenities as the Superior double rooms but are larger (approx. 40 m²) and have a garden view.

The unique catering concept offers you breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., lunch from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in one of the hotel's three À-la-carte-restaurants ("Lucina", "Gaia", "Yades"). As a Posh Club member (booked suite), you also have the opportunity to take your breakfast exclusively in the "Posh Club Lounge." A sparkling wine breakfast is included for you in all four restaurants.
