Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation in the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay in the hotel depends on your day of arrival and day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon journey to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning journey to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).

Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright, elegant, and has a reception desk. Indulge your palate in the main restaurant and enjoy cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness room that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck, cool off in the pool, and enjoy the fantastic view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The comfortably furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
The Royal Suites also feature a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same facilities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, instead featuring a window that cannot be opened.

The beautiful hotel complex is located directly in the heart of Makadi Bay next to the popular sister hotel "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" (HRG223). The holiday resort is located in the first beach row at the most beautiful snorkeling and diving spots of the bay, thus offering the opportunity to explore the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea directly from the gently sloping beach.
It is approx. 37 km to the city center of Hurghada. Hurghada Airport is approx. 32 km away.

Facilities

The Schauinsland-Reisen Original Hotel was built in an elegant Bohemian style and has 240 rooms and suites distributed across various building complexes. With its unique and high-quality meal concept, the hotel stands out in Egypt and offers you a selection of a total of three of its own à-la-carte restaurants ("Lucina"-international cuisine, "Gaia"-Italian cuisine, and "Yades"-Greek cuisine) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The à-la-carte restaurant "Posh Club Lounge" is exclusively available to Posh Club members and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, guests of the "SUNRISE Tucana Resort Grand Select" have free use of the eight à-la-carte restaurants of the sister hotel "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" with a diverse selection in the evening. The Felucca, which offers fish and seafood, is available for a fee. Furthermore, a total of eight different bars are available. The "Posh Club Lounge" is only available to Posh Club members. The Cohiba Bar (adults-only) is accessible to all guests and serves, among other things, imported alcoholic drinks from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. In the extensive outdoor area of the hotel, there are three pools (heatable in winter). Lexi Swim Up Suite Poolview

The Lexi Swim Up Suite (SWP) has the same facilities as the superior double rooms but is larger (approx. 43 m²). The rooms feature a terrace with access to the swim-up communal pool. On the terrace, there is a dining table and two separate sun loungers.
Rooms with direct access to the sharing pool have no own swimming supervision and pose an increased danger potential for small children and non-swimmers. The supervisory duty at the pool is therefore the responsibility of the guardians.

Double Room Superior

The comfortably furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 35 m²) are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and balcony or terrace.

Double Room Deluxe

The Double Rooms Deluxe (DD2) have the same facilities as the Double Rooms Superior but are larger (approx. 40 m²) and have a garden view.

Junior Suite Garden View

The Junior Suites Garden View (JS2) have the same facilities as the Double Superior but are larger (approx. 43m²) and feature a terrace. Also bookable for single use/with child. (JS1/J1K)

The Executive Suites Jacuzzi lateral Sea View (2XE) have the same facility elements as the Double Rooms Superior, are approx. 100 m² large, and consist of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room/bedroom. The rooms have either a balcony with a Jacuzzi or an indoor Jacuzzi.

Executive Pool Suite

The Executive Pool Suites lateral Sea View (2SS) have the same facility elements as the Double Rooms Superior, are approx. 90-100 m² large, and consist of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room/bedroom. The rooms have a terrace with access to a private pool.

The unique meal concept offers you breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., lunch from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in one of the hotel's three à-la-carte restaurants ("Lucina", "Gaia", "Yades"). As a Posh Club member (booked suite), you also have the opportunity to have your breakfast exclusively in the "Posh Club Lounge". In all four restaurants, sparkling wine breakfast is included for you. Additionally, dinner can optionally be taken in the buffet restaurant or in one of the eight different à-la-carte restaurants of the "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" (Mexican, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, Steak, Diet and Light, Bedouin Restaurant).
