Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

MS Nile Excellence incl. Excursion

Route

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, enjoy a felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3); breakfast package is included.
Then, it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the option to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Afterwards, the ship sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There, you can opt for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and sip on refreshing drinks from the three bars on board. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic views of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sq m and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sq m). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 sq m and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sq m) than the suites with otherwise the same amenities, and may not have a French balcony and seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

The holiday resort is situated in the first row on the beach, offering access to the bay's most beautiful snorkeling and diving spots, allowing you to explore the breathtaking underwater world of the Red Sea directly from the gently sloping beach.
The city center of Hurghada is approximately 37 km away. Hurghada Airport is approximately 32 km away.

Facilities

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel is built in an elegant Bohemian style and features 240 rooms and suites spread across various building complexes. With its unique and high-quality dining concept, the hotel stands out in Egypt, offering a choice of three à la carte restaurants ("Lucina" - international cuisine, "Gaia" - Italian cuisine, and "Yades" - Greek cuisine) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The "Posh Club Lounge" à la carte restaurant is exclusively for Posh Club members and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Lexi Swim Up Suite (SWP) is larger (approx. 43 sq m) than the Superior Double Rooms and has the same amenities. The rooms feature a terrace with access to the swim-up shared pool. The terrace includes a dining table and two separate sun loungers.

Superior Double Room

The cheerfully furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 35 sq m) are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, and a balcony or terrace.

The unique dining concept offers you breakfast from 7 am to 10:30 am, lunch from 1 pm to 4 pm, and dinner from 7 pm to 10 pm in one of the hotel's three à la carte restaurants ("Lucina", "Gaia", "Yades"). As a Posh Club member (booked suite), you also have the option to enjoy your breakfast exclusively in the "Posh Club Lounge." A sparkling wine breakfast is included for you in all four restaurants. Additionally, dinner can optionally be taken in the buffet restaurant or in one of the eight different à la carte restaurants of the "SUNRISE Royal Makadi Resort Select" (Mexican, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, Steak, Diet and Light, Bedouin Restaurant).
