Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers between services. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be into Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise follows, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days as per the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, cruise to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to Medinet Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and cruise to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, Felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.

Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Afterwards, continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 exterior cabins spread over several decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The Albatros Makadi Resort is located in the popular Makadi Bay. The Albatros Makadi Resort is situated only approx. 35 km from the international airport of Hurghada. The hotel is in a prime location, situated directly on a 600-meter long, white sandy beach, offering the perfect conditions for swimming. The house reef directly in front offers ideal possibilities and conditions for snorkeling to explore the beautiful and colorful underwater world of the Red Sea.

Facilities

The fully renovated resort has 869 spacious rooms distributed across several buildings. Furthermore, the hotel is equipped with a cozy lobby and various shops. Six buffet restaurants and two snack restaurants (Asian, Oriental, Italian, Seafood, Steakhouse, etc.) as well as five bars cater to your culinary needs.

The rooms (HD2) are approx. 106 m² and consist of two rooms with a connecting door (one bedroom with a king-size bed and one with twin beds). These family rooms consist of 2 rooms of the Double Room Deluxe category separated by a connecting door and feature a pool view. The Deluxe Family Rooms are approx. 55 m² and feature a double bed and two twin beds, which are separated by an optical room partition. The rooms feature a garden view (2DF).
Additionally bookable towards the sea side (FY2) and with pool view (FP2).
