Travel information

Combo product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all transfers between the two. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and harbor are included.

Day 1:
Embarkation takes place on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Medinet Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sailing to Kom Ombo where you will have free time.
Continue to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visiting a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box is included.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then visit the Kom Ombo Temple (1,2,3).
Afterwards, continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.
Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 7:
At 5 AM, balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, the Karnak Temple, and the Luxor Temple (1,2,3).

Accommodation features

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain features a total of 77 outside cabins distributed across various decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are provided on board.

The Albatros Makadi Resort is located in the popular Makadi Bay. The Albatros Makadi Resort is only approx. 35 km from Hurghada International Airport. The hotel has a prime location, situated directly on a 600-meter-long white sandy beach, offering the perfect conditions for swimming. The offshore house reef provides ideal opportunities and conditions for snorkeling to explore the beautiful and colorful underwater world of the Red Sea.

Accommodation features

The completely renovated resort has 869 spacious rooms distributed across several buildings. Furthermore, the hotel features a cozy lobby and various shops.
