Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be into Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise afterwards, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

1. Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
Sightseeing on the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 am, optional hot air balloon excursion (can be booked locally).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, including Karnak and Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
3. Day:
Sightseeing on the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
4. Day:
Continue from Esna.
Then proceed to Aswan, where you will stay overnight.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.
5. Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterward, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
6. Day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
7. Day:
Continue to Esna and visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
8. Day:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.
The cabins can also be booked for single occupancy (K1 or KA1).

Economy Cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and have a small circular window.

Single Cabin

Same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The Albatros Makadi Resort is located in the popular Makadi Bay. The Albatros Makadi Resort is only approx. 35 km from Hurghada International Airport. The hotel has a first-class location, situated directly on a 600-meter-long white sandy beach, offering the perfect conditions for swimming. The offshore house reef offers ideal opportunities for snorkeling, allowing you to discover the beautiful and colorful underwater world of the Red Sea.

Facilities

The fully renovated resort features 869 spacious rooms spread across several buildings. Furthermore, the hotel is equipped with a cozy lobby and various shops. The rooms (HD2) are approx. 106 m² and consist of two rooms with a connecting door (one bedroom with a king-size bed and one with twin beds). These family rooms consist of two rooms of the deluxe double room category separated by a connecting door and feature a pool view. The deluxe family rooms are approx. 55 m² and feature a double bed and two twin beds, which are separated by an optical room divider. The rooms have a garden view (2DF).
