Travel Information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always follows the program for seven days. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, can be booked on-site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit to the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then, proceed to Kom Ombo again.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then, the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on-site).

Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and relax with cool drinks served at the three bars on board. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From Winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on the loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approximately 24 sq m and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and a French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sq m). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, the balcony also includes a small table and two chairs.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approximately 13 sq m and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only a single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sq m) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites, and may not have a French balcony and a seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

Jacuzzi Suite

The Jacuzzi Suites (S2J), approximately 50 sq m (including 4 sq m balcony/terrace), feature a couple's Jacuzzi, shower, WC, vanity mirror, air conditioning, safe, minibar (daily replenished with water, juice, beer, soft drinks), Smart TV with German channels, coffee and tea making facilities, and a swing chair on the terrace.

Pure Standard Suite

The Pure Standard Suites (SAJ), approximately 27 sq m, are smaller than the Jacuzzi suites but have similar amenities. Some suites have a small balcony with visual screening and face the land side or the promenade. The rooms have a Jacuzzi.

Swim Up Suite

The Swim Up Suites (2SU), with similar amenities to the Jacuzzi Suites, offer direct access to the terrace pool (heated in winter) and are more spacious at approximately 50 sq m (including 4 sq m terrace).

Penthouse

Located on the upper floors, the Penthouse Suites (P2) are equipped like the Jacuzzi Suites, but are more spacious at approximately 107 sq m (including 16 sq m balcony), with a private living room, private pool (heated in winter), and a breathtaking view over the Red Sea.
Also available for single occupancy (P1).

Super Economy Room

The Super Economy Rooms (SSZ) are approx. 27 sq m and equipped with shower/WC, espresso machine, TV, Wi-Fi, vanity mirror, safe. The rooms do not have a Jacuzzi, no balcony, and face the land side.
