Travel information

Combination package featuring a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most reasonably priced available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the arrival flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and the Nile cruise second, the return flight must depart from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always provided for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stays at the hotel depend on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.

At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride is possible (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1, 2, 3) including a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1, 2, 3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1, 2, 3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, travel to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning, continue to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1, 2, 3).
Continue to Aswan, dinner, and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1, 2, 3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1, 2, 3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1, 2, 3).
Afterwards, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2, 3), breakfast box is included.
Then proceed to Kom Ombo.

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1, 2, 3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1, 2, 3) and the Karnak Temple (1, 2, 3). There is also an opportunity for a Sound and Light Show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence features a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins distributed across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no sitting area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) with otherwise the same amenities as the suites and may not have a French balcony or sitting area, but rather a non-opening window.

Jacuzzi Suite

The approx. 50 m² (incl. 4 m² balcony/terrace) Jacuzzi suites (S2J) feature a couple's Jacuzzi, shower, WC, vanity mirror, air conditioning, safe, minibar (daily refill with water, juice, beer, soft drinks), smart TV with German channels, coffee and tea-making machine, as well as a swing chair on the terrace.

Pure Standard Suite Jacuzzi

The approx. 27 m² Pure Standard suites (SAJ) are slightly smaller but feature similar amenities to the Jacuzzi suites. Some suites feature a small balcony with visual privacy screens or a terrace and are located on the land side.

Swim Up Suite

The swim-up suites (2SU) feature similar amenities to the Jacuzzi suites but have direct access to a terrace pool (this is heated in winter) and are more spacious at approx. 50 m² (incl. 4 m² terrace).

Penthouse

The penthouse suites (P2), located on the upper floors, are equipped like the Jacuzzi suites but are more spacious at approx. 107 m² (incl. 16 m² balcony), featuring a private living room, a private pool (heated in winter), and a breathtaking view over the Red Sea.

Super-Economy Room

The super-economy rooms (SSZ) are approx. 27 m² and equipped with shower/WC, espresso machine, TV, Wi-Fi, vanity mirror, and safe. The rooms do not have a Jacuzzi or balcony and are located on the land side.
